Training Coordinator

Overview
The Training Coordinator will work with our customer training and implementation departments and will be accountable to ensure that our growing customer base is effectively using our industry-leading software. We are seeking a talented, energetic, well organized individual, to assist in coordinating our trainers, consultants, implementation center, and related activities. We need an extraordinary person to aid the training department’s tracking & communication as well as act as one of the primary contacts for our customers training needs. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills as well as a close attention to detail.
Essential Position Functions
The successful candidate will obtain a working knowledge of our software products. They will be expected to speak with customers regularly in a professional, friendly, and exceptionally helpful manner. They will be expected to keep up with the details of planning hundreds of training events per year. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following and others as assigned:

Prepare HCSS classroom customer trainings at our Houston office and trainings at customer sites throughout the US and Canada:
Assist with managing the activities involving the trainings
Schedule and allocate appropriate resources (people, materials, facilities, etc.)
Ensure preparations are complete involving the trainers, customers, and HCSS

Carry inbound training sales request to completion

Recognize when the amount of training sold is inadequate for the training assignment, investigate, and discuss with the customer the correct amount of training needed

Ensure that for each training assignment, the customer and trainer each has the knowledge and information they need

Review training evaluations from both the trainer and the customer to identify problems needing immediate attention and follow-through on those problems

Investigate problems that come up involving training engagements, exploring all possible solutions, and ensuring that the problems are solved so that all parties involved come out successful

Keep communication logs of all training assignments so the status is available throughout the company

Must be able to know exact details of trainings that go on, handling up to 5 companies of 12 to 13 people per classroom allowing for approximately 60 customers at any time in the Houston Office
Selection Criteria
The position requires experience or aptitude in the following:

Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

Excellent Problem-Solving Skills
-
Strong sales and negotiation skills are a plus

Experience in Resource Management and/or Project Management is a strong plus

Ability to talk with customers over the phone on a daily basis

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Must thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Ability to work as a team and independently

Must have an amiable and charismatic personality

Ability to follow through and complete tasks
