Tech Services Analyst

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem solving, analytical, and people skills. If you excel at solving word problems, "thinking games", have strong math skills, and can quickly assimilate technical information, you may have what it takes to join the elite technical service representatives at HCSS. Our analysts spend the majority of their day talking with and helping our customers with their HCSS-related software problems over the phone, in one-on-one sessions, and trainings. They will also spend time working on various projects to enhance our service offerings to our customers.
Essential Position Functions:
- Help customers with our Construction Estimating, Dispatching, GPS, and Job Cost software.
- To a lesser extent, help customers with any questions dealing with networking, printers, our web site, WINDOWS 9x, NT, 2000, ME, XP, Vista, Novell, Citrix, FTP etc.
- Work on various projects such as creating support materials and training materials associated with our software.
- Help build strong relationships with our customers.
- Possibly become experienced enough to become an implementation consultant, traveling to customer sites, offering business solutions, implementing our software and providing training on our products to the customers.
- Learn how the HCSS business works so you can intelligently suggest ways to improve the company.
- Bilingual a plus

Our Technical Services Department is the face of HCSS to our clients and staff members are expected to live up to our reputation with our customers. The Technical Services Department focuses on building relationships with our customers. Often, our annual User Group meeting is like a family reunion in addition to the extra training customers receive. To ensure you have the logic skills to systematically track down problems, we give all candidates a short reasoning test. Although the test is not particularly difficult (about 7th grade level), if you were poor at math in school, you will probably not pass the test.
The starting salary for a Software Support Technician is dependant upon experience with an entry-level salary range being $30,000 to $40,000. This is an important position at HCSS with substantial growth potential.
